ABOUT THIS DAY
For GCSE and IB students in Years 9, 10 and11.
Join us in November for an exciting day Mathematics Masterclass day, specifically designed for students in Year 9, 10, and 11. This is an exceptional opportunity for students to strengthen foundational knowledge, deepen their understanding, and prepare for future success in GCSE exams. Our Mathematics Masterclasses feature experienced speakers including academics, educators and communicators. Â
SPEAKERS
Dr Colin Wright (Mathemagician and probability juggler)
Dr Colin Wright achieved a PhD from the University of Cambridge in Combinatorics and Graph Theory, which are areas of Mathematics. Dr Wright is former President for the Liverpool Mathematical Society.
Zoe Griffiths (Mathematics Communicator)
Zoe Griffiths is a mathematician who travels the UK and internationally giving talks and workshops in schools (through Think Maths). Zoe has talked about maths to BBC Radio 4. Before entering the world of maths communication, Zoe worked as a classroom maths teacher in secondary schools. After teaching, Zoe took up a position at the Royal Institution (the home of Christmas Lectures).

- One complementary ticket for every 15 students booked, additional staff tickets will be charged at the standard rate of £39.00
- We only take bookings from schools and colleges, we do not take bookings from individuals. No exceptions
- Schools and colleges must confirm final numbers by 23:59 on Monday, 4 November 2024
- Due to the limited capacity we cannot accept cancellations, amendments or offer refunds for bookings within 25 days of an event
